In April, Arizona State University Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts published an article on Fulbright grantee Joel Adalid Martinez Lorenzana (Honduras) beautifully outlining his dedication to music throughout his life, and highlighting the work he did to program a lecture recital consisting of music composed in Honduras.
It was quite a project, as some pieces were handwritten or had missing pages, and Joel took on the task of reconstructing the music and the stories behind it.
The article notes that through Joel’s Fulbright award, he was able to attend his dream school and looks forward to returning to Honduras to continue teaching and inspiring passion for music. You can read the entire piece at HERE
