Margot Gill

Former Administrative Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Harvard University

Margot Gill is the Former Administrative Dean for International Affairs for the Faculty of Arts and Sciences which included Harvard College, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the Paulson School for Engineering and Applied Sciences and the FAS International Research Centers. She also chaired the University’s Committee on General Scholarships which oversaw all university-wide scholarship programs. Dean Gill priorly served as the Administrative Dean of the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences where she was responsible for implementing Graduate School policy across the PhD programs at Harvard. She held multiple positions in the Graduate School including Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Dean for Student Affairs. She also served Harvard College as an Allston Burr Senior Tutor and as an advisor for international programs. Dean Gill received a Master’s and PhD in Anthropology from Boston University. She is a member of Laspau’s Executive and Nominating and Governance Committees.
