
Florian Bartunek

Florian Bartunek initiated his career at Banco Nacional in 1989. He is the founding partner and CEO of Constellation which was founded in 1998 as Utor Investments, a proprietary fund for the previous owners of Banco Garantia. Before Constellation Florian was a partner at Banco Pactual where he held positions as head of research, proprietary trader, and manager of all equity portfolios/funds. During his time at Pactual (1990-1998), he managed the Andrômeda Fund, the highest ranked equity fund in Brazil for 3 consecutive years. He also managed the Infinity Fund, ranked Brazil’s highest equity offshore fund for 2 consecutive years as well as a segregated portfolio for George Soros. Florian earned a B.S. in Business at Pontificia Universidade Católica in Rio de Janeiro in 1990. He graduated from Harvard University’s YPO President’s Program from 2010 to 2018 and has successfully completed courses at Columbia Business School. In 2016 he completed the Behavioral Finance program at Harvard Kennedy School. Florian was a professor of a Value Investing course at IBMEC University in São Paulo (currently Insper), president of the Paulista Chapter of YPO – Young Presidents Organization and Director of the International Department for the Brazilian Investment Banking Association – ANBID. He is Vice President of ProA (www.proa.org.br) one of the largest NGOs for professional education in Brazil, and participates on the boards of Fundação Estudar and its Endowment Investment Committee, the Lemann Foundation, the Museum of Art of São Paulo, Sao Paulo Stock Exchange, Somos Educação and Revista Nova Escola.
