The Fulbright Program creates connections in a complex and changing world. Led by the United States government in partnership with 160 countries worldwide, Fulbright offers unparalleled international educational and cultural exchange experiences. The global network of Fulbrighters fosters mutual understanding between the United States and partner nations, advances knowledge across communities, and improves lives around the globe. Laspau administers a part of the Fulbright Program which provides grants to individuals from Latin America and the Caribbean for graduate study in the United States. Grants are awarded for Master’s and PhD programs in a variety of fields of study.

FULBRIGHT NOMINEES IN PLACEMENT:
At this time Laspau is moving forward as planned with the placement process. Please contact your Laspau Placement Specialist with any questions.

The health, safety, and security of our Fulbright participants is our highest priority.  The U.S. Department of State is continuously monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and is working closely with Laspau, partner governments, Fulbright Commissions, U.S. Embassies, and U.S. host institutions to provide guidance and information to our foreign students.

Fields of Study

Applications are accepted in a variety of fields of study with the exception of Medicine, Nursing and Dentistry.

Eligibility

Individuals must be a citizen of one of the following countries:

  • Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Barbados, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Venezuela.

  • Citizens of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay, please refer to the Fulbright Commission of your home country.
     

  • For citizens of all other eligible countries, please apply through Laspau’s website.
