Ryan M. Keane joined LASPAU in 2003, and has served as the manager of placement services for over five years. He oversees the team of placement officers and support staff in coordinating the university placement of grantees from various scholarship programs including the Fulbright Foreign Student Program and scholarship programs funded by COLCIENCIAS and FANTEL. Ryan graduated with highest distinction from the University of California, Berkeley with a BS in Integrative Biology, and received his PhD in Biological Sciences, specializing in Plant Ecology, from Imperial College of London. During his undergraduate studies, Ryan spent three months in Costa Rica studying tropical biology.
