What information do we collect?
Information we collect falls into two categories:
Information provided by you
We collect information in order to fulfill LASPAU's obligations to the sponsors of programs that LASPAU administers. Information about an individual may be shared with that individual's program funder, home institution and host institution. The information may also be shared with additional parties if required by the program sponsor's agreements with LASPAU. In addition to using the information to administer an individual's program with LASPAU, LASPAU may use the information to contact the submitter about other LASPAU activities.
LASPAU will not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. However, we may disclose your personal information to third parties who provide services on our behalf and are contractually obligated to keep the information confidential.
Automatic logs of web site access
When you visit our website, we automatically collect your IP address and non-personal information about you such as the URL being accessed, referral information, and the type of browser used to view the page. We use this information to help us administer our website and to collect broad demographic information for aggregate use. We do not link IP addresses to personally identifiable information. LASPAU may provide log files to third parties for analysis, so we can get a better understanding of traffic through our site.
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.
Disclosures to law enforcement
LASPAU may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or if it believes that such action is necessary to protect and defend the rights, property, or personal safety of LASPAU and its web sites and visitors to its websites.
