In early 2011, LASPAU launched its first formal internship program and is delighted to welcome a third group of interns this fall, who will assist the Program Office in carrying out research and administrative duties. These multilingual interns come to Cambridge, Massachusetts with an impressive and varied set of qualifications, including undergraduate and graduate degrees from top universities such as Pennsylvania State University, the University of North Carolina, Universidad de los Andes and Harvard University, among others.
Over the course of the year, the interns contributed to projects including the development of LASPAU's alumni network, organizing seminars and workshops led by LASPAU's Initiative for the Development of Academic Innovation (IDIA) and utilizing the latest technology to promote LASPAU's current academic and educational programs. The interns brought their energy and innovative perspective to LASPAU and, in exchange, are walking away with new skill sets and experience in a professional setting.
