This year marked a successful continuation of LASPAU's efforts to become a more ecologically sustainable office. LASPAU achieved "Leaf 2 Certification," the Harvard Green Office Program's second level of certification, by meeting all of the objectives for that level. Through the Green Office Program, Harvard provides employees with an exciting way for each office to engage their community in reducing the office's environmental impact and to celebrate their collective accomplishments along the way.
In addition, this past spring, the Harvard University Office for Sustainability honored and recognized students, faculty, and staff who made significant contributions to reducing the university's greenhouse gas emissions and to leading sustainability efforts at the second annual Green Carpet Awards. LASPAU Green Team founders, Program Assistant Anne Sargent and Department Coordinator Michael Picone, each earned an Individual Achievement Green Carpet Award for their outstanding dedication to fostering sustainability on campus.
LASPAU News congratulates the Green Team for their hard work and effort making the organization a Harvard Green Office!
LASPAU has been certified by Harvard's Office for Sustainability as a Green Office.
