Monitoring and Evaluation Internship

LASPAU is looking for an intern to work with the IDIA (Initiative for the Development of Academic Innovation) team in order to strengthen and systematize its program monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems. IDIA’s principal program area is designing and implementing faculty development programs for Latin American and Caribbean universities with the goal of improving the quality of student learning. Over the last two years IDIA has begun conducting M&E of its faculty development programs to measure changes along certain dimensions of faculty and institutional practices. The intern’s main responsibilities will be to aid IDIA in systematizing and documenting its M&E processes and in conducting research in order to suggest improvements to its M&E systems. Candidates must be able to make a commitment of 10 hours per week.

Skills required

  • Proficient in everyday use of Excel
  • Background (professional or academic) in program monitoring and evaluation
  • Interest in international higher education
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Spanish language proficiency is preferred but not required
  • Advanced statistical/quantitative analysis skills preferred but not required
