In 2004, LASPAU welcomed three new members to the Board of Trustees for three-to-six-year terms.

Gustavo Herrero is the executive director of the Harvard Business School Latin America Research Center (HBS LARC), based in Buenos Aires. As head of HBS LARC, Herrero works closely with HBS faculty who conduct research throughout Latin America.
Lucía Santa Cruz is the director of the Instituto de Economía Política of the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in Santiago, Chile, where she also serves as a faculty member. Her academic interests focus on modern history, and she contributes articles on political and foreign affairs to El Mercurio. Santa Cruz was an Eisenhower Fellow and a 2004 recipient of the City of Santiago Women of the Year Medal.
Audit and Finance Committee
Joseph Genovese, a longtime partner with Ernst and Young’s Latin America division, was recently elected to the Audit and Finance Committee of LASPAU’s Board of Trustees. The Committee is chaired by Thomas McDermott, treasurer of the Board, and includes Peter Bryant, CFO of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Frank Aldrich, former head of Latin American operations for Bank of Boston, and Barry Schuman, vice chair of the Board.
