 Since 1964, LASPAU has administered scholarship and loan programs for a wide variety of sponsoring agencies in Latin America and the Caribbean. However, LASPAU itself does not offer scholarships, fellowships, or loans. Interested parties apply directly to sponsoring agencies and should contact those agencies to request information on criteria for eligibility and other application-related information. 2) What does "LASPAU" stand for?
LASPAU originally was an acronym for Latin American Scholarship Program of American Universities, but as the organization's scope of activities changed, the name was changed to better reflect our services. It is now LASPAU: Academic and Professional Programs for the Americas. Although "LASPAU" no longer serves as an acronym, it has been retained as part of the name since it is well-recognized across the Americas. LASPAU does not run English language classes nor does it provide funding for such training.
