Program Assistants are one of the key points of contact for all grantees in LASPAU-administered programs. LASPAU's current team of seven program assistants has the knowledge and the experience of living and studying abroad in various countries in Latin America, Europe, and Asia and speaks a combined total of seven languages.
Each year, when candidates are selected and receive their scholarships, LASPAU’s placement team immediately begins the process of matching candidates with appropriate institutions. Through LASPAU’s extensive university networks and relationships with universities, this team continues to pursue academic admission and funding opportunities to meet the individual needs of each grantee.
Since 2002, LASPAU has monitored grantees on behalf the Organization of American States (OAS). The current team of LASPAU program advisors serves as liaisons between OAS scholarship recipients, the OAS, and academic institutions.
Renee Hahn Burke has over 15 years of experience working in the field of international education and continually finds new ways to apply this knowledge to her work at LASPAU.
