Goldman Sachs

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is a leading global financial services firm providing investment banking and securities and investment management services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments, and high-net-worth individuals. Founded in 1869, the firm is headquartered in New York and maintains offices in London, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and other major financial centers around the world.

Goldman Sachs believes that expanding entrepreneurial talent and the managerial pool globally—especially among women—is one of the most important means to reducing inequality and ensuring more shared economic growth. To this end, in 2008 the firm launched the 10,000 Women initiative, a five-year program with two primary goals:

  • to increase the number of underserved women receiving business and management education
  • to improve the quality and capacity of business and management education around the world
